Tornado of Happiness!

I was talking to my sister Matryoshka this morning, and we were talking about those cute red dotted mushrooms that you see so often in fairie books, etc… but never had we seen one in “real life.” I had seen a great photo while crawling around on this lovely flickr page. So, they exist somewhere.. The thing that really got me though, was this comment that was left for her:

Wouldn’t that just make your day?? A TORNADO OF HAPPINESS. I know that the reference is actually to some sort of award, but wow. I wish that for everyone I know, and don’t know today– May you all enjoy a swirling vortex of pure bliss.

Yarn Laundry

Now, on to business. I am intending that this blogging bit is going to help me be more focused and (I hope) productive in many creative areas of my life. First I am going to introduce you to 3 of the knitting projects in the cauldron. The I SPY activity is see if you can find the secret priority-code shadow in them.

Baby Surprise Jacket

Coming along nicely.

Recital Capelet

My eldest daughter ( who would like to be known as Marigold) has a harp recital coming up. Her dress needs a little warmth so I am making this capelet in Rowan Kidsilk Haze. I have a ways to go– but not a lot of time. Whoo hoo!

Lastly, there is the Skater Hoodie

This is for a friend’s soon to be born baby. Both he and Jim are skateboarding pirates. The sweater exists only like this right now-

and the baby is due this month, so I need to get sticking! The yarn is a super yummy alpaca.
